Project Description
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of Early Childhood Educational (Childcare) settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however it is expected that students have good communication skills and a genuine interest in working with children and their development. Minimum Year 10 education or equivalent.
However, it is preferred that students:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have sound language and literacy skills
- Dedicated sense for wanting to educate and care for young children

STAR TRAINING ACADEMY
Duration
Students have up to 12 months to complete the course from their enrolment date. Students can start training at set intervals throughout the year.
This course includes a total of 120 hours of professional work placement. At least 40 of these hours need to take place in a setting with infants in the 0-2 year age range. This industry experience gives you invaluable real-life skills, so you graduate ready to step into a job.
